Square-Off Game (iPad App)

Strategy games are fun for all ages and help with cognitive development, spatial reasoning, and problem solving skills. School Zone’s free Square Off game is healthy fun for the whole family.

Children play against a built-in opponent. First, kids can select a character that will represent them when they win a square. Tap the arrows next to the player’s score to change the character. This can be changed any time during the game. The computer is represented with a computer icon.

The goal is to complete the most squares. Players take turns placing a line (vertical and horizontal lines only) between adjacent dots by touching the space between the dots. The score indicator at the bottom shows which player’s turn is next. The child goes first. When the computer places a line, it will continue to blink so you are sure to know where the line has been placed. The game continues until all the squares are won. The winner is the player with the most squares. An animation rewards children when they win the game.
