‘COMPANY TO WATCH’ SCHOOL ZONE INTRODUCES NEWEST LINE OF EDUCATIONAL CHILDREN’S PRODUCTS AT 2016 INTERNATIONAL TOY FAIR
School Zone Publishing Company to Reveal Little Scholar Mini, Newest Workbooks and Digital Distribution Deals for Intellectual Property Charlie & Company at 2016 International Toy Fair
NEW YORK (Feb. 2016) – Building on its success from 2015, School Zone Publishing Company, one of the world’s leading providers of kid’s education tools and resources, introduces a variety of new products to the consumer market, including the highly-anticipated Little Scholar Mini tablet, new educational workbooks and interactive flash card sets. In addition, big news is coming for its Intellectual Property Charlie & Company, as it prepares for national distribution on television. School Zone and its complete line of products will be on display at the American International Toy Fair in New York, February 13th – 16th, Booth #5627.
“At School Zone, our goal is to constantly rethink and reimagine how we connect education with our youngest minds,” said Jonathan Hoffman, president and CEO, School Zone Publishing Company. “The Little Scholar tablet was a tremendous success in 2015; not only did we increase distribution, we also outsold projections, which was a huge accomplishment. The best is yet to come with the new Mini.”
With a suggested retail price of $129-149, Little Scholar Mini is the 7-inch, fun-sized version of its parent tablet and includes School Zone’s educational video series, Charlie & Company. The tablet is bursting with School Zone’s rewarding curriculum for children in preschool, kindergarten and first grade. Coined the ‘anywhere teacher’ – School Zone’s re-enforcing concept that learning should never end beyond the classroom – Little Scholar Mini is equipped with over 70 apps, games, videos, books and songs that focus on early reading and math skills.
In addition to Little Scholar Mini, School Zone is preparing new workbooks and flash card sets for 2016. The three marquee items include the new Toddler Gatefold books; Paint, Stick & Learn books and ‘I Try’ Skill Cards. Each item makes learning fun and comes with a parent information card that provides ideas for how to maximize learning in the areas of alphabet, memory and number building.
Rounding out the new introductions for the year is digital distribution of School Zone’s Charlie & Company, a preschool video series that inspires curiosity, nurtures a love of learning and empowers preschoolers by teaching them critical skills through the narrative of a golden retriever and his friends as they go on exciting adventures full of lasting lessons. With 13 episodes completed, the series is ready for distribution deals for 2016, as two deals are already completed with many more to come.
“Understanding the importance of early education was something that we empathized when creating this series. Every episode of Charlie & Company caters specifically to children ages 3-5 and features Miss Ellie, our “ANYWHERE TEACHER,” who guides viewers through an adventure that’s based inside of a school zone,” said Barbara Peacock, managing director, School Zone Publishing Company. All of School Zone’s new items will be on display at Toy Fair and become available at retailers nationwide later this year.
