Each holiday season we as parents tend to indulge our kids with the things they want the most. Rachael is my odd child and always asks for the weirdest items. A few years ago it was bras. Yes at 3 she asked for bras. This year it was books. And I definitely purchased a ton of books for her. But I also like to encourage other educational skills. These areas are math, general reading, writing. You know the basics right. I was excited at Blogger Bash to see the Little Scholar Tablet from School Zone. This tablet is made specifically for younger kids. The apps are all educational but fun. The design is sturdy and a bumper can be added in order to protect it a little more.
There are over 150 apps preloaded as well as videos and ebooks. You can chose learning levels as well. Rachael’s apps are all loaded for the 1st grade level but you can also set them at PreK or Kindergarten. Little Scholar allows kids ages 3-7 years old to master math, reading, spelling and so much more while having fun. Activities on this tablet aid in boosting the skills of children while allowing parents to manage the apps and track your child’s activity and progress.
Key features include:

School Zone has other great gifts for the holidays too. Our favorite game right now is their Alphabet Go Fish game. It combines the fun of a card game with the learning of the alphabet. The letters match when you get both the lower and upper case of a letter. A great way for kids to learn letter recognition.
