Since my youngest is now in first grade and I have all boys, occasionally my brother is going to be stepping in and doing reviews since he has a 3 year old girl. Give Aaron and his adorable Beaner a warm welcome. They were sent this product for review, but all opinions are their own. -Shell

If you’re looking for a tablet for your child for Christmas, the Little Scholar may be what you’re looking for.

The device has the features tailored exactly to what your child needs to develop basic fundamentals. It’s a tablet created by a teacher and approved by teachers. It comes with over 150 preloaded apps (valued at $400), videos and e-books. Little Scholar allows kids ages 3-7 years old to master math, reading, spelling and so much more while having fun. Activities on this tablet help boost the skills of children while allowing parents to manage the apps and track their child’s activity and progress.

The Little Scholar tablet has a durable case to help protect it for the little ones. The screen has a clear and sharp display that is comparable to anything in the marketplace.

My 3 year daughter was able to navigate through the apps easily. You don’t have to be connected to wifi to use this tablet. The battery life was above our expectations with being able to go multiple days without being charged.

The only issue we had was at times she got into apps that may have been too advanced for her skill level. My suggestion would to have different settings for different age ranges so each child would be placed that the correct academic level, though it’s nice to know this tablet will grow with her.

I would recommend this device for a pre-preschooler to gain a jump start on basic fundamentals. You can get the Little Scholar tablet for $129.99 at ToysRUs or SchoolZone.com
